Norberto Murara 'Neto' (Araxá, July 19, 1989) has speed and movement that has allowed him to defend his goal with security and deliver outstanding performances for Valencia (2017-2019), Juventus (2015-2017), Fiorentina (2011 -2015) and Paranaense (2002-2011). A goalkeeper from a very young age in his homeland, he has emulated his father.
Neto's last two seasons at Fiorentina were spectacular, helping him to secure a move to Juventus, however, the entire time he was in Turin was as Buffon's substitute. His character, and a continuous improvement year after year, led the Brazilian to Valencia where he has spent the last two years.
With Neto the goal is smaller
The Brazilian has a real presence between the posts. His height, almost two metres, combined with his agility makes Neto a goalkeeper that's very difficult for a forward to score against. Excellent in the air when required, he's difficult to beat on the goal line and in a one against one, and, despite his stature, Neto has excellent speed and reflexes.
