Ricard "Riqui" Puig Martí is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for FC Barcelona B as a central midfielder,
Born in Matadepera, Barcelona, Catalonia, Riqui Puig joined FC Barcelona's youth system in 2013. At La Masia, he improved as a player and grew steadily through the categories. On 24 February 2018 he made his debut with Barcelona B in a 1–1 home draw against Gimnàstic de Tarragona in the 2017/18 season. He came on as a second-half substitute for Marcus McGuane.
On 5 December 2018, Puig made his senior team debut with first-team against Cultural Leonesa in a 4–1 home victory in the Copa Del Rey, he came on in the 55th minute and assisted the fourth goal. He described his debut as 'a dream come true'.
Puig made his La Liga debut on 13 April 2019, starting in a 0–0 draw against Huesca, and played 67 minutes.
Riqui Puig is a creative midfielder with a great vision of the game and great skill. His intelligence, perfect technique and ability to quickly execute make him one of the pearls of La Masia.
