    Adamawa United football club is based in Yola, Adamawa State. it is funded by the Adamawa State Government. The club was founded in the year 2000 but it rapidly gained a space to play in the country's topflight league in 2007. Adamawa United was again relegated in 2012, bought was able to broker a deal with city rivals, Makwada FC to retain a sport in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
