    Formally Gabros International FC, Ifeanyi Uba Football Club acquired its current after its former owner, Gabriel Chukwuma sold the team and its stadium to Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah in December 2014 ahead of the 2014/2015 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season. 

    Ifeanyi Uba FC played its first NPFL game in March 2015 under the new game. According to Gabriel Chukwuma, the former club owner, the club was acquired for N100 million even though he asked the current owner for N500 million.
