The Wales national football team represents Wales in international football. It is controlled by the Football Association of Wales, the governing body for football in Wales and the third-oldest national football association in the world, founded in 1876.
Current manager: Ryan Giggs
Ranking on FIFA: 26th
The team draws players from top leagues across Europe, currently including Gareth Bale at Real Madrid, Aaron Ramsey at Juventus, Ben Davies at Tottenham Hotspur, Ethan Ampadu at RB Leipzig and Daniel James at Manchester United.
Wales also play a number of players from Wales' top club teams, Swansea City and Cardiff City. These two Welsh clubs play in the English league system, but the majority of both full-time and part-time professional Welsh clubs play in the Welsh football league system.
