Nicholas Daniel Latifi (born 29 June 1995) is an Iranian-Canadian racing driver under contract to race for Williams in the 2020 Formula One World Championship. He made his Formula One debut at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix.
For the 2020 season Latifi is due to race for Williams, filling the seat vacated by Robert Kubica. He will partner former competitor and 2018 Formula 2 champion George Russell. Latifi will race under an American license in 2020 after Canada's national sporting authority resigned from the FIA. However, Latifi will still be officially recognised as Canadian. Latifi's race number is 6.
Latifi was due to make his Formula One debut at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. He was entered into the race, however, it was later cancelled in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. His debut came at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix where he qualified last on the grid in 20th, but finished the race in 11th place after nine other cars retired
