History of Bakassi
Bakassi Local Government Area is in Cross River State, Southsouth Nigeria. Bakassi shares boundaries with the Republic of Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Bight of Bonny, and the Akpabuyo Local Government Area.
The LGA is home to several ethnic divisions, including the Efik, the Effiat, and the Oron. The commonly spoken languages in Bakassi include Efik and Oron.
