History of Kaita

Kaita Local Government Area is situated in Katsina State, within the Northwest geopolitical zone of Nigeria. It shares a border with the Republic of Niger. The headquarters of Kaita LGA is located in the town of Kaita.

According to the 2006 census, Kaita LGA had a population of 184,401 people. Kaita LGA is comprised of several towns and villages, including Dtsen Safe, Yanhoho, Girka, Dankama, Yandaki, and Kaita. 

The majority of the inhabitants in Kaita LGA are reported to be members of the Hausa and Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa and Fulfulde languages are commonly spoken in the area. The postal code for Kaita LGA is 820.
