Karim Lamido Local Government Area is located in Taraba State, Nigeria, within the North-central geopolitical enclave of the country. The headquarters of Karim Lamido LGA is situated in the town of Karim Lamido at coordinates 9°18′00″N 11°12′00″E.

Karim Lamido LGA covers a land area of 6,620 square kilometers and had a population of 195,844 people according to the 2006 census. However, recent estimates suggest a population of around 161,772 inhabitants.

Karim Lamido LGA is home to various ethnic groups, including Karimjo, Wurkun, Jenjo, Bambuka, Munga, Kodei, Dadiya, Bandawa, and Fulani.
