History of Maradun
Maradun Local Government Area is located in Zamfara State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are situated in the town of Maradun, positioned at coordinates 12°34′00″N 6°14′40″E, towards the south of the area.
Maradun LGA covers an area of 2,728 square kilometers. According to the 2006 census, it had a population of 210,852 people. The estimated population of Maradun LGA is around 261,484 inhabitants. The postal code of Maradun Local Government Area is 881.
The LGA comprises several towns and villages, including Gora, Namaye, Magami, Tubali, Kayawere, and Tsibiri. The vast majority of the area's residents belong to the Fulani ethnic group. The Fulfulde language is widely spoken in the LGA.
