History of Obudu

Obudu Local Government Area is in Cross River State, Nigeria.
The headquarters of Obudu Local Government Area is in the town of Bette.

Obudu LGA shares boundaries with Boki and Bekwarra LGAs.
It also shares borders with parts of Benue State and the Republic of Cameroon. Some of the towns and villages in Obudu LGA include Bette, Okpe, Alege, Becheve, Unpe, Utanga, Ugang, and Utugwang.

The estimated population of Obudu LGA is put at 174,700 inhabitants.
The vast majority of the area's residents are members of the Bette ethnic group. The Bette language is commonly spoken in Obudu Local Government Area.
