History of Ogbomoso South
Ogbomoso North Local Government Area in Oyo State, Nigeria. It appears that Ogbomoso North Local Government Area was created on September 27, 1991, and its administrative headquarters is located at Kinnira. The old Ogbomoso Local Council, from which Ogbomoso North was carved out, was established on April 1, 1973.
The local government covers a total land mass of 207,978 square kilometers. According to the 2010 estimated population, using a growth rate of 3.2% from the 2006 census, the population of Ogbomoso North Local Government Area is put at 225,408.
Ogbomoso North Local Government Area is bordered by Ogbomoso South, Orire, and Surulere Local Government Areas to the West and East, respectively.
