The presidential campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State ended abruptly on Monday when the light in the venue went off and could not be restored.

The scheduled rally was taking place at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi when there was an unexpected power failure.

The power interruption happened shortly after the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu, mounted the podium and began delivering his speech.

President Muhammadu Buhari, who was present at the rally, had to depart immediately with his entourage.

The president was to lead the party's presidential and governorship campaign rally after his aircraft touched down at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa airport, Bauchi around 10:20 am.
