Labour Party flag bearer Peter Obi has been accused by the governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo of preventing the party from campaigning in the state when he was governor.
Soludo's accusation was made on Thursday during his appearance on Channels TV's 'Politics Today' in response to allegations that the governor placed restrictions on the Labour Party in terms of political campaigns.
According to Governor Soludo, Obi denied his present party the right to campaign freely in Anambra even when they paid for it.
“Nobody has done that. He did not even allow the Labour Party, where he is now, to freely campaign in Anambra.
"He denied them even the venue that they paid for", Soludo stated.
Speaking further, he added that he has granted his predecessor the opportunity to make use of the government facilities in the state for his presidential campaign.
