The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Honourable Christopher Zakka Maikalangu has announced the dissolution of the revenue board which he said was aimed at addressing the dwindling fortunes of the council administration.
The chairman while addressing heads of units and staff of the the revenue department disclosed on Wednesday that plans to explore new initiatives to promote revenue generation is on.
According to the council, it is also aimed at mobilising resources to ensure speedy execution of projects in the council.
The council chairman said that the dissolution was derived from concern to keep those financial systems up and running and protect the data that is very critical to revenue generation.
He stressed the need to act now to scale up the revenue generation system because to him, what the FCT residents want is result and not mere grandstanding.
He maintained that AMAC under his watch was prepared to get its priorities right.
He promised to wake up to his responsibility as a role model that the AMAC and entire FCT residents would be proud of him during his reign.
