The Benue state Governor-elect, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has approved the list of members to serve in the 12-constituted transition committee of the incoming administration.
The Subcommittees are set to plan a worthwhile and evocative inauguration and oath-taking ceremony for the Governor-elect come May 29th 2023.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Communications to the Governor-elect, Tersoo Kulas on Friday, the various subcommittees also have the mandate to organize activities that shall herald the main event.
Alia urged the Subcommittees to meet as soon as possible and draw up their budgets for submission to the Secretariat for consideration and approval, as time was of the essence.
While stating that Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Comrade Austin Agada, Chief Stephen Lawani, Dan Ashiekaa and all LG party chairmen in the state will oversee the successful operation of all the Subcommittees, the statement added that the official inauguration of the subcommittees will come up at a later date.
The list is jointly signed by Chief Mike Iordye and Dan Ashiekaa, Chairman and Secretary of the Transition Committee respectively.
