The lawmakers who are of the Labour Party reportedly took the resolution after an emergency caucus meeting of the party held on Thursday.

According to a communique signed by the lawmakers, part of their drive was to lend their voice to the cry of the LP Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, on the sorry state of the nation.

They urged the President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu and state Governor's to, as a matter of urgency, suspend work on all other sectors including  infrastructures for the next six months and declare a state of emergency on security and hunger in the nation.
