A man has been fatally shot in front of his wife and child in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa by armed robbers who claimed to be police officers after gaining entry to his property.
His wife and their little child were present when the horrible incident occurred.
At around 21:59, the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Tongaat Operations Center quickly reacted to a need for help.
The Reaction Officers arrived on the site to find a man victim's corpse inside the house.
His torso and head both had many gunshot wounds.
According to the victim’s spouse, the ordeal began with a knock on their door.
A man claiming to be a police officer demanded entry into their house.
The pair stood their ground and would not unlock the door. However, the criminals forced their way inside their houses.
Three males then approached the couple and demanded money.
Regrettably, the male victim was ruthlessly shot many times despite stating that there was no money available.
The assailants searched the house and discovered an unreported amount of cash before running off on foot to an unidentified location.
Fortunately, the mother and her child survived the terrifying event unharmed.
