Youths in Benue were commended for conducting a peaceful protest in the state by the Benue Police Command, stating that they had a right to freedom of expression.

Speaking on the peaceful protest organised by the youths and issuing the commendation was the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Catherine Anene.

She said, “The Command has already deployed officers at strategic areas within the state to ensure safety of lives and property.

“You have the right to freedom of expression as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution as amended as you have successfully communicated to the government without breaching peace.

“The command is committed to ensure that you express yourselves in a very peaceful and organised way to prevent breakdown of law and order.
