President Muhammadu Buhari has restated his commitment to the fight against corruption while presiding over his third ministerial performance review retreat.
The retreat is taking place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja and the event is being organised by the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation to review the progress of the administration since the last edition in October 2021.
The meeting with the theme 'Enhance security, fight corruption, transform the economy' has in attendance Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, Senate President Ahmad Lawan and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
While giving his opening address, President Buhari stated that the goal to increase electricity generation to 25,000 Megawatts in six years is on course.
He also noted that the first batch of the transformers has already arrived in Nigeria.
The president further assured that his administration remains committed to the fight against corruption and pledged to continue to review and prosecute high-profile corruption cases and ensure speedy justice delivery.
