Eintracht Frankfurt's hopes of securing a top-four finish in the Bundesliga took another hit as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by VfL Bochum on Friday.
This extended their winless streak to seven games in all competitions.
The visitors took the lead in the 13th minute through Takuma Asano, who pounced on a rebound following an effort by captain Anthony Losilla, which was saved by Eintracht's goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.
However, the hosts were quick to respond as Randal Kolo Muani equalized from the penalty spot eight minutes later, after he was taken down in the box by Ivan Ordets.
Despite having 20 attempts on goal, compared to Bochum's seven, Eintracht was unable to convert their chances and earn a first win since mid-February.
Kolo Muani, who scored the equalizer, lifted his Bundesliga goal tally to 12 and became one of only five players across the top-five European leagues to have registered double-digit goals and assists.
The draw leaves Eintracht in sixth place on 41 points, five points behind fourth-placed Freiburg, who will face Hertha Berlin on Saturday. Meanwhile, Bochum moved out of the drop zone and currently sits in 14th place with 26 points.
Eintracht will look to bounce back in the German Cup quarterfinals on Tuesday, as they host Union Berlin at home.
