Manchester United have decided not to appeal midfielder Casemiro's red card, Erik ten Hag confirms.
Casemiro was dismissed in the 70th minute of United's 2-1 win after he grabbed Palace midfielder Will Hughes by the throat.
This came after Video Assistant Referee Tony Harrington reviewed the flashpoint and advised on-pitch official Andre Marriner that Casemiro's action was a violent conduct and warranted a straight red card.
The 30-year-old expulsion was the first red card for a United player all season, which will see him miss the Premier League double-header against Leeds United this week as well as the visit of Leicester on February 19.
Addressing questions on whether United considered appealing Casemiro's red card, Erik ten Hag said: "Consider yes, but I don’t think we have a chance in the legal process."
When quizzed on how he will set up his team without the defensive midfielder, he added: "I am the manager, I always have to play with the players who are available.
"We have many good players in the squad. Casemiro and Martial are not there.
"We have to win and all the players at Man Utd are capable."
