After spending just four months as the Deputy Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Mukhtar Isa Hazo, has been impeached.
His impeachment was made possible by the 24 members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly during the House's Thursday plenary.
The reason for Hazo's impeachment is yet unclear but reports state that he was unable to discharge his duties effectively.
He took up the role of deputy speaker in February.

His election into office happened alongside the Speaker of the House, Yusuf Zailani, after the resignation of some of its major members.
The resignation, reports state, came after news of a planned impeachment reached them.
No one has been named as a replacement for Hazo.
