A commuter bus according to reports has lost control and crashed while being chased by highway policemen.
The accident, it was learnt, has also claimed one life.
The accident eyewitnesses reveal occurred in Oju-Oja, Iresaapa in Surulere local government area of Oyo State.
“A middle-aged woman died in an auto crash while the commuter car lost control.
“The driver refused to cooperate with the operatives when they ordered for a stop and search along Ogbomoso-Iresaapa road and instead, sped off.
“Officers of the Highway Police Patrol in Ogbomoso chased this commuter car and in the process, the car lost control and ran into this woman who was working for her daily bread and she lost her life on the spot,” the eyewitness narrated.
The Oyo State Police Command spokesperson, Adewale Osifeso as at the time of filing this report has not reacted to the accident.
