Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, Sunday reaffirmed her unwavering support for the presidential ambition of the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi emphasizing her conviction that he is the right man to lead Nigeria out of its current predicament.
In a passionate statement posted via X, Yesufu addressed the notion of "your own" in politics, declaring that it extends far beyond shared religion, tribe, or gender. Instead, she asserted that "your own" is anyone capable of delivering good governance.
"You see Mr Peter Obi @PeterObi," Yesufu wrote, "I will NEVER support him to be Imam of a mosque, but as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he has my 100% support even if I end up being his only supporter."
Her unwavering commitment to Obi's candidacy is deeply rooted in her belief that he possesses the necessary qualities to steer Nigeria towards a brighter future. She remarked, "If he wants to run a thousand times, I will support him a thousand times. I will put in the work a thousand times and more."
Yesufu's unwavering support stems from her conviction that Obi is the embodiment of the resilience and determination required to liberate Nigeria from the grip of those who have stifled its progress. She declared, "For in him is the person I see that is willing to put in the donkey work necessary to wrestle Nigeria from the jaws of those who have held it down."

I am focused on how to ensure that the win is not stolen next time. Giving up is never an option. We die here."
