The Students of Osun State College of Education Ilesa are currently protesting and have locked the school gate at the time of writing this report.
The Protest is led by the Students Union over the long overdue strike of the Council of Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union ( COEASU).
Like their counterpart in the university set up, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), COEASU has been on strike for some months.
On Monday, the Osun State House of Assembly passed a bill upgrading the College of Education, Ilesa to a full-fledged university.
