The Oyo State Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan, has appealed the Oyo State High Court judgment which dismissed the suit challenging his impeachment by the Oyo House of Assembly.
The Assembly had commenced an impeachment proceeding on the Deputy Governor.
Afolabi Fashanu, Counsel to the Oyo Deputy Governor, confirmed the development to journalists on Thursday in Ibadan.
Justice Ladiran Akintola while dismissing a suit by Olaniyan challenging his impeachment by the Assembly on Thursday stated that the defendants have not breached any constitutional provisions on the matter.
The judge held that the lawmakers and all the defendants have not erred in the procedures taken during the impeachment process.
