Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has hosted Christian clerics, including other members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to break fasting.
The Christian clerics were led to the event at the State Government House on Sunday by the outgoing Chairman of the Kaduna State Chapter of CAN, Reverend Joseph John Hayab.
The governor who provided details of his interaction with the clerics during the event in a statement said those who spoke commended his administration for uniting the state.
They equally commended him for "bringing development closer to the people, and doggedly promoting interfaith dialogue."
The guests also urged the Governor Sani-led administration to sustain its efforts "not to go back on the noble path we have chosen because it is the sure road to Kaduna's greatness."
Sani added that: "They are particularly impressed with our prompt response to the abduction of the Kuriga school children, describing it as a clear demonstration of responsive and responsible leadership."
He further appreciated the clerics "for honouring us with their presence and praying fervently for continued peace in Kaduna State, improvement in the security situation, and the success of our administration.
"We shall continue to promote dialogue and cooperation among people of different faiths. We are one people before God. We must always consider our diversity as our strength. We are all stakeholders in the Kaduna Project."
