Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed the Head of Civil Service, Usman Bala, to oversee the Office of the Chief of Staff.
A statement issued by the commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba on Sunday revealed that the supervision would be pending the appointment of a substantive Chief of Staff.
This follows the decision by former Chief of Staff to Governor Ganduje, Ali Haruna Makoda to decamp to the NNPP on Friday.
The governor, the statement added, expressed the hope for effective supervision and coordination by the Head of Service, having served in the office before.
