Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris has distributed Toyota Jeeps to 24 lawmakers of the State House of Assembly for their official engagement and in fulfilment of his promise to them.
The presentation of the vehicles took place on Tuesday at the State Government House in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
The governor appreciated the lawmakers for their cooperation and understanding with the Executive arm of government, adding that he was enjoying the harmonious working relationship that exists between them.
As contained in a statement on Wednesday by Yahaya Sarki, the governor's spokesperson, he equally appreciated the loyalty of his commissioners and leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to his administration.
Governor Idris also called for unity among stakeholders to live up to the expectations of the people of the state.
He said: "God destined positions to us not because we are better, we must do justice to all. All hands must be on deck to satisfy the yearnings and aspirations of our people.
"My administration has been implementing programmes and executing projects as dividends of democracy.
"So far, we have provided 30 new vehicles to Security Agencies, 28 new vehicles to Commissioners and now 24 new vehicles to Legislators, while new Toyota Hilux vehicles have been bought for Chairmen of Boards and Parastatals."
