House of Representative member, representing Ekiti, Irepodun, Isin and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara state, Tunji Olawuyi on Saturday, lost his 86-year-old mother, Alhaja Sifawu Olawuyi.
In a statement by his Media Adviser, Femi Ogunshola, Alhaja, Sifawu died on Saturday at the University Teaching Hospital, Ilorin.
Alhaja Sifawu, before her death was a politician and a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Women leader in Omu-Aran, Ward 1, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The deceased, an indigene of Omu-Aran, came from Sogbodile family Okesuna and was a business tycoon and Philanthropist who contributed enormously to the growth, development and stability of the town.
