The fan who won Rema’s song challenge, Ifeoluwanimi Ogunjebe ‘Nimie’, has opened up on how the date went in a chat with BBC Pidgin.
According to the lady, the beamer crooner is a romantic person and the date was ‘soft and cool’.
However, she mentioned that the date has exposed her to attacks from social media fans as they accused her of being in a relationship with the singer prior to the challenge.
She clarified that there was no partiality in how she emerged the winner and her date with the singer was the first time of meeting him.
She said, "I have gone for his shows but our date was the first time I met and conversed with him.”
When asked about her newfound fame, the young lady expressed her gratitude to God and Rema for bringing her into the spotlight.
Meanwhile, she said she wants to remain the regular school self that she was and wants to accomplish the goals she set for herself.
