Son of NBA great LeBron James, Bronny, is out of danger and not in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after suffering a cardiac arrest, his family has stated.
The 18-year-old collapsed during basketball practice at the University of Southern California (USC) and was rushed to a hospital by ambulance on Monday, per TMZ Sports reports.
“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest," a family spokesperson said.
"Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital.
"He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU.
“We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information.
“LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”

Bronny, who was born in 2004, is an incoming freshman for USC’s basketball team after graduating from Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles this spring.
The 6-foot-3 combo guard is among the top players in his draft class and rated as one of the NBA's top future prospects after he shined in the last McDonald’s All-American for high school players Game which featured some of the country’s top high school basketball players.
He averaged 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals his senior year of high school, and committed to a USC team seeking to reach the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive time.
