Manchester United have granted Brazilian winger Antony permission to return to training amid police investigation into allegations of domestic abuse made against him.
It comes after the 23-year-old spoke to Greater Manchester Police (GMP) on Thursday, having returned to England from Brazil on Tuesday.
United sources say GMP neither arrested nor charged him following the interview as he provided evidence in support of his strong denials of the allegations.
In a statement, the club said: "As Antony's employer, Manchester United has decided that he will resume training at Carrington and be available for selection, while police inquiries proceed.
"This will be kept under review pending further developments in the case."
Antony is, however, not expected to be at Carrington on Friday (today) and will not be considered for United's home game against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
He has not played for United since the club's 3-1 defeat by Arsenal in early September, as he was given leave on full pay by United to address allegations made by three different women, including his former partner Gabriela Cavallin.
