Contrary to reports that she was arrested, popular American rapper, Megan Thee Stallion has said she was shot multiple times and taken to the hospital by the police.
Days ago, there were reports that shots were fired outside a residence in the Hollywood Hills on Sunday, July 12 where Megan and Canadian rapper Tory Lanez graced a house party.
Police pulled over Lanez’s SUV and found a gun, which is why he was booked for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.
However, clarifying online reports in an Instagram post, Megan described her experience as an eye-opener, while stating that she was not arrested.
According to the ‘Savage’ crooner, she was the actual target of the attack and suffered gunshot wounds as a result of a “crime that was committed against her”
“The narrative being reported about the events on Sunday morning are inaccurate and I would like to set the record straight.
“On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.”
“I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.”
“This whole experience was an eye-opener and a blessing in disguise: I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy.”
