Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has refuted claims that he received payment from popular Nigerian singer Naira Marley to conduct an interview regarding allegations of his involvement in the death of his former label signee, Mohbad.

He expressed a desire to present a more balanced narrative to the public regarding the allegations against Naira Marley.
He empathised with individuals facing public scrutiny and emphasised his intention to provide a platform for Naira Marley to share his side of the story.
Omokri further explained his approach, citing his own experiences of false information and rumours during his tenure as a presidential spokesman under President Goodluck Jonathan.
He stressed the importance of offering individuals the opportunity to address allegations against them.
