The Aren Eggon, HRH Dr Bala Abaine Angbazo has reportedly joined his ancestors after 41 years on the throne.
Angbazo died in the early hours of Wednesday at the National Hospital, Abuja after a protracted illness.
He ascended the revered throne of his forebears on July 11, 1981, after the death of Late Alhaji Abdullahi Idde.
The late Angbazo was elected by the twenty-two kingmakers as the paramount ruler of the people, winning eight (8) votes to beat his closest rival, Late Alhaji Adamu Musa Galle who scored seven.
The other contestant, late Esla Alu scored five, Ali Ide two, and the remaining got no votes.
The Aren Eggon traditional institution began in 1922 with the appointment of Bashayi, son of a notable Fulani slave raider from the Keffi royal family.
