The gubernatorial candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, Emmanuel Ombugadu has filed a petition challenging the declaration of APC's Audu Alhaji Sule as winner of the March 18 election.
Ombugadu filed the petition challenging the election outcome on Friday in Lafia.
The PDP aspirant who came second in the election according to the electoral umpire, INEC filed the petition at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, Lafia.
Joined in the petition as respondents are INEC, Audu Sule and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced APC's Sule as winner of the election. He polled 347,209 votes to beat his closest contender, David Ombugadu of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) who got 283,016 votes.
