Nasarawa Workers To Get Full Salary For August

The Nasarawa State Local Government council has disclosed that workers of the third tier will be paid in full for the month of August.

Commissioner of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Development Affairs, Hon. Yusuf Aliyu Turaki, made the disclosure on Thursday in Lafia, the state capital.

"The Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) has resolved to pay workers of the third (3rd) tier government in Nasarawa State full salary for the month of August.

"This was the resolution reached at its monthly meeting."

The meeting had in attendance council Chairmen, Representative of DA Overseers, Permanent Secretary of the ministry and the Chairman, Internal Revenue Board among others.

The state civil servants have for a long time protest against payment of salary in percentage which does not capture workers full salary at the end of the month.
