The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted three-day sunshine and haziness across the country from Friday.
The agency said the northern states are expected to experience hazy and sunny conditions from morning hours of Friday.
This was contained in the agency's weather outlook released on Thursday.
According to the agency, thunderstorms would be experienced in the afternoon and evening in Imo, Anambra, Ondo, Edo, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta and Bayelsa states.
The news Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that NiMet stated: “On Saturday, sunny and hazy conditions are expected over the northern and North Central region throughout the forecast period.
“Sunny atmosphere with patches of clouds are anticipated over the inland cities of the South during the forecast period.
“Cloudy conditions with intervals of sunshine are anticipated in the morning with chances of thunderstorms over Cross River, Lagos State, Edo, Ogun, Bayelsa, Rivers and Akwa Ibom in the afternoon and evening hours."
The agency further urged the public especially asthmatic patients to be cautious during the period.
While adding that cold temperatures would be experienced at night, airline operators were advised to get updated weather reports in their operations.
