The Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) has unequivocally refuted reports suggesting that Peter Obi, former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has left the party.

Michael Nwolisa, media aide to Obi, issued a statement in Abuja on Friday, denouncing the news as false and baseless.

Nwolisa clarified that the purported report did not originate from Obi or his movement, the "Obidient" Movement. He attributed the misinformation to mischief makers with malicious intentions aimed at causing division within the party.

According to Nwolisa, these attempts to sow discord within the LP have been ongoing, with the aim of undermining and destabilizing the party, particularly targeting Obi. He emphasized that Obi's focus has shifted from partisan politics since the Supreme Court's final decision on the presidential election in October 2023.

Nwolisa condemned those behind the spread of false information, labeling them as enemies of democracy. He reiterated Obi's commitment to promoting democracy and ensuring that it is practiced in accordance with established principles, free from political malpractice.

In conclusion, Nwolisa assured Nigerians, especially members of the "Obidient" family, that Peter Obi's allegiance to the Labour Party remains steadfast and unwavering. He emphasized that the struggle to liberate Nigeria from oppressive forces would persist until the will of the people prevails.
