The New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), through its Acting National Chairman, Alhaji Abba Kawu Ali, has issued a plea to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.

They urged him to refrain from interfering with the state's judiciary, expressing deep concern over recent events.

Ali emphasized the critical importance of allowing the judiciary to operate independently.

He warned that any meddling could lead to chaos and undermine the rule of law.

Ali said, "We want to draw the attention of Nigerians and indeed the whole world to the ongoing efforts by the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, to desecrate the temple of Justice which has the consequences of engendering anarchy, which Nigeria can ill afford now.

"We are using this medium to advise Governor Dapo Abiodun to leave Ogun State judiciary to work without undue interference to be able to dispense justice without fear or favour".

The NNPP chairman pointed to specific incidents, notably the expulsion of the party's former Ogun State chairman, Comrade Sunday Olaposi Oginni. He also highlighted clashes between NNPP officials and law enforcement.

Ali questioned the credibility of accusations against NNPP officials, particularly regarding burglary and theft allegations made by Oginni.

"The question is, did they enter the office illegally? Could they have 'stolen' the money in the presence of the Policemen who accompanied them?".

The NNPP reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the rule of law and urged Governor Abiodun to honor the judiciary's independence in Ogun State.
