Ahead of the Ondo State Governorship election, the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and Young Progressives Party have denied collapsing the party's structure to support Eyitayo Jegede of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
Debunking the news, the National Chairman of the ADP, Yabagi Sani said that his party did not withdraw from the governorship race.

According to Sani, the statement indicating that his party's candidate and 10 others withdrew from the governorship race was sponsored by some self-seeking political jobbers.
“I wish to draw your attention to a malicious statement sponsored by some self-seeking political jobbers, who purportedly reported that the ADP alongside nine other participating political parties has withdrawn from the governorship race in Ondo State to support the PDP candidate.
“Our candidate, Prince Martin Kunle Olateru-Olagbegi, a loyal party member, patriotic Nigerian and an international figure, is still very much in the race to occupy the Oduduwa House, come 10th October 2020 by the grace of God,” he said.
In a related development, the Governorship candidate of YPP, Dotun Ojon denied withdrawing from the governorship race during an interview with Channels Television.
Ojon who debunked the rumour making round said that he was not ready to step down for anybody.
When asked if he stepped down to support a top political party, Ojon said, “that is not true, YPP is not for sale and we are not ready to step down for anyone.
“For us, it is a sign that YPP has become a force in Ondo State that everyone wants to identify with. When we started, nobody gave us a chance. Nobody knew we could come this far,” Ojon said
It will be recalled that AllNews had on Tuesday reported that the National Chairman of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore also debunked the news claiming that his party was amongst the 11 parties that collapsed its structure to support Jegede.
