Oyo Deputy Governor Olaniyan Impeached By State House Of Assembly

Oyo State Deputy Governor Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan has been impeached.

Daily Post reports that Olaniyan was impeached by members of the State House of Assembly on Monday at about 11.30 am following a plenary session.

Dominated by members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the lawmakers disclosed that they impeached the deputy governor after the recommendation of the panel set up against him.

The seven-man panel had levelled several allegations against Olaniyan and on Monday, the panel report was read by the Majority Leader of the House, Sanjo Adedoyin from Ogbomoso.
