PDP governors in Plateau to commiserate with colleague over recent attacks

Governors under the umbrella of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) have stormed Plateau State to commiserate with their counterpart over the recent attacks in communities of the state.

The governors, led by the Chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed condoled the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, and people of the state over the recent losses in the unfortunate attacks. 

During the visit on Thursday, Governor Mohammed appealed for fairness, noting that "unity, peace and tolerance are projected to be amplified for Nigeria to prosper."

He further urged residents, religious groups and stakeholders to support the state government's effort in ensuring safety of lives and property in the state.

Governor Mohammed stressed the need for tolerance among residents of the state.

Lawal Muazu Bauchi, the governor's New Media aide in a statement on Thursday said chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum announced the donation of N100 million to victims of the recent attacks in the state.

He urged the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang to remain strong in uniting the people of the state for its development.

The delegation included Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Peter MBA of Enugu state, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and Nuruddeen Jackson of Osun State.
