Repentant Gambari had repeatedly denigrated some traditional rulers and many Islamic scholars in Nigeria and internationally, like Late Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass, Shaykh Abdul Rasheed Alagbara Omi, and Sheykh Muhydeen Salam the Chief Imam of Offa, describing them as "hypocrites and liars".
Gambari had apologised to all and sundry following his yearlong attacks on prominent Nigerian Islamic personalities.
In several videos posted on Facebook recently, Gambari asked for forgiveness from everybody he has been attacking, and revealed that diaspora-based blogger, Saheed Shittu had been manipulating him.
Gambari said Shittu had been falsely promising him relocation abroad.
