For the financial year ended September 2022, United Bank for Africa Plc has recorded a gross earning of N608 billion, compared to N 493 billion recorded in September 2021
According to a statement on the bank’s unaudited financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2022, operating income grew by 27.3 per cent to close at N414.1 billion
During the period under review, UBA’s profit before tax rose to N138.5 billion, from N123.4bn recorded at the end of the third quarter of 2021 which indicates a 12.3 per cent increase, while profit after tax also rose significantly by 10.9 per cent to N116 billion up from N104.6 billion recorded a year earlier
The bank’s total assets grew from N8.5 trillion to N9.3 trillion, representing a 9.1 per cent increase, while customer’s deposits increased to N7.03 trillion, representing a 10.4 per cent rise, up from N6.4 trillion at the end of the last financial year.
Speaking on the growth, Oliver Alawuba, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, at UBA, said the group continued to show notable operating resilience amid a heightened global risk environment.
