A former Majority Leader of the House of Representatives and current Chairman of the House Committee on Downstream Petroleum, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has shared N100 million cash to hundreds of his constituents.

This was contained in a statement he signed and distributed newsmen in Kano on Sunday.

According to the statement, the gesture was intended to cushion the effects of economic hardships on people.

The lawmaker also said the assistance was also to complement the Federal Government's efforts to address hunger and starvation in the country.

He said, "I distributed a total sum of N100 million in cash to my party members and other members of the public, as my small contribution to the Federal Government's serious measures in tackling poverty in the land.”
