The governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has accepted the resignation of his Deputy, Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan Iya amongst others.
The governor also accepted the resignation of 10 of his commissioners, secretary to the state government and his Chief of Staff.
The deputy governor was also the supervisor of the Sokoto State ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Other high government officials who resigned include the SSG, Mallam Sa'idu Umar and Tambuwal's chief of staff, Mukhtar Umar Magori.
The ten commissioners that resigned include those of Ministries of Finance, Environment, Youths and Sports, Lands and Housing, and Careers and Security.
Others are Hon. Bashir Gidado of ministry of Commerce, Salihu Maidaji of Works, Shu'aibu Gwandu Gobir of Water Resources, Abubakar Maikudi Ahmad of Solid Minerals and Abdullahi Maigwandu of Religious Affairs.
