Popular OAP Daddy Freeze has tasked filmmakers in the country with being original, using the hit Netflix series Squid Game as an example of an outstanding work of originality.
Squid Game is the streaming platform's biggest launch ever and weeks after its premiere is still causing shock waves around the globe.

On Monday, Daddy Freeze went on his official Instagram page to laud the efforts of the Koreans who made the series, emphasizing how they used their indigenous language and showcased their economy to make it the biggest series on Netflix.
He then addressed Nigerian filmmakers, telling them to look within themselves and embrace originality.

Freeze wrote: "Koreans produced 'Squid Game', a TV series in their language, showcasing their economy; it became the biggest selling series on Netflix globally.
"Nigerians need to look within and embrace originality."
